Designing a multi-channel website to serve members and help working musicians in the UK.
UX Designer, researcher and digital transformation consultant
The Musicians’ Union represent working musicians in all areas of the music business by negotiating and campaigning on their behalf and by providing services and assistance throughout their professional careers and beyond.
The goal of the project was to help identify the members’ and business needs then scope, prioritise and roadmap which also included developing a new website and their digital assets.
Creating a digital strategy and roadmap for the MU
Personas for MU’s primary audiences.
I did extensive qualitative and quantitative research with member and prospective members. I wanted to understand what their needs are as well as help align these to the strategic aims of the MU. Our findings were fleshed at into a set of personas to be used as a design tool.
Draft Digital Strategy
Here is a picture (Blurred) from the digital strategy workshop I ran with the client once we had all our research inputs. This enabled us to prioritise the objectives and outline a roadmap to deliver the change for the MU.
